About Hope After Betrayal

OUR BEGINNING

P1040225Hope After Betrayal was born out of Meg’s personal experience, writing, and years of leading support groups for women. The idea came out of a Divine appointment. She walked by the training room in the US Digital Outreach Center and realized women needed a safe, neutral location to meet with complete anonymity. After panic subsided (because she knew nothing about starting a non-profit), doors began opening and road signs were blinking on a path of God’s design. Our beginning was clear, this was not Meg’s project, but the Lord invited her to join Him in this work. He then surrounded her with amazing board members who have expertise in crucial areas.

In less than a year, the Lord provided co-leaders for Healing Hope Groups, office space, funds, regular donors, an assistant and the list keeps growing. Our first Healing Hope group was six women and then doubled by our second session.

God is on the move, and though we are often surprised how far and how fast this ministry goes, we trust the One who is driving and are thankful for those who are joining us on the journey!

OUR VISION AND MISSION

Hope After Betrayal  is a growing community of healing and empowered women who educate, support, and mentor other betrayed women. We partner with pastors, ministry leaders, and counselors to ensure the women they serve find healing. Hope After Betrayal exists to provide Christ-centered hope and healing for women injured by their partner’s sexual betrayal.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Hope After Betrayal and all it’s board members and staff believe the following:

  • The Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • Salvation of the lost and sinful comes solely through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit, leading us to faith and trust in the atoning work of Jesus Christ.
  • The present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the we are enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; they that are lost unto the eternal separation from God and they that are saved unto the eternal presence of God.
  • God ordained gender and marriage between one man and one woman.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
